September, the autumn had truly arrived as the green leaves turned to golden brown, scattering across the grounds around the castle. After a year had passed, everything appeared to return to normal. They played board games, went on little trips to the town, where Golden had been spoiled with new dresses and little outfits, including a sparkly galaxy-themed dress she wore in the winter, the dark, starry dress really stood out during the snowfall. Mum was staying over a bit more too, she brought down a few of her books for Golden to read, one were quite old and from her own childhood. She also wanted to stay close to Scout, wanting to catch up on all the days she wasn’t there to see her grow, and the fact Scout’s 16th birthday had just passed.
